We create cultural exchange programs for Japanese students who come to Perth to experience our Aussie way of life.
During their time here, we arrange for the students to visit one of our 65 partner schools and do a homestay with a local family.
The highlight of the students’ stay is the homestay. It’s a chance for them to experience our way of life and to share their culture with the family they are staying with.
Our initiative is a fun way to raise funds and engage your community with an incredible family experince.
This is how the process works:
- We provide your club with promotional material to help get the word out to your members.
- We onboard your members and match them with student who will be a good fit for their family.
- We support them through the hosting period.
- We donate $100 for every member who hosts a student after the hosting period ends.
Hosting an international student is a fun, unique and rewarding experience the whole family can enjoy. It is a chance to share your way of life, learn about a foreign culture and an opportunity to create a new international friendship.
It is as simple as involving the student in your daily routines and giving them the opportunity to experience our Aussie way of life.
We just ask 3 things of our host families:
- Provide place for the student to sleep in their own room or in a shared room with a child of the same gender.
- Provide the student with 3 meals a day including a packed lunch.
- Drop-off and pick-up the student from a local school.
During the hosting period we support our hosts every step of the way with:
- Information to help families get the most out of the hosting experince.
- 24/7 bilingual support.
- A $50 per night hosting fee to help cover expenses.
